We were instructed by Mrs S who contracted food poisoning whilst on holiday in Egypt. The holiday was booked as a package and as a result, the claim was pursued against her tour operator.

The food poisoning caused significant bowel problems and had a significant impact on her ability to enjoy the holiday. Her own investigations in resort identified that there were many other guests who had been affected in a similar way.

On her return to the UK she was diagnosed as having been infected with Salmonella Gastroenteritis. Although the condition improved, it was anticipated that minor symptoms would persist.

After extensive investigations and correspondence, we were able to conclude the claim without the need to issue legal proceedings. Mrs S was awarded £23,000.
