A number of tourists had to be prescribed antibiotics having stayed at the 4-star Club Playa Blanca in Lanzarote following a possible salmonella outbreak at the hotel.
It is believed that most of those struck down had eaten at the hotel between the 6th and the 14th January 2010. Symptoms included sickness, vomiting and stomach cramps.
It is not the first time complaints have been made against the Club Playa Blanco in Lanzarote. In August and September 2008 holiday makers also reported problems at the resort.
